Meet Sarah
Specialist paediatric experience
I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2006 and immediately specialised in paediatrics. I worked for the NHS for nine years gaining specialist knowledge and experience in a range of clinical and educational settings with children who presented with a broad range of communication difficulties.
In 2016 I started working as an Independent Speech and Language Therapist and have supported many children and families during this time. I have formed good relationships with many schools who welcome me into their school for me to carry out my sessions with their children.
Liaison
Our personal service always involves parents/carers and may also include working alongside other professionals such as education and health professionals (including NHS Speech and Language Therapists). This provides a holistic approach and ensures that the aims of any intervention are relevant and more likely to be achieved. It also enables others around the client to adapt the communication environment in the most helpful way.
About Us
Chester Speech Therapy was set up to meet the needs of children with communication difficulties living in the North West. We provide high quality assessment, advice and therapy for children aged 0 – 11 years.
What we provide
Chester Speech Therapy offers assessment, advice and intervention for children aged 0 – 11 years who present with a range of speech, language and communication needs, including speech sound difficulties and language delay/disorder.
Practical, tailored programmes
As a mother of two, I understand the importance of ensuring that intervention sessions are fun, advice is practical and activities for home use are both realistic and achievable for busy parents.
“We’re so grateful for Sarah’s support with our son’s speech therapy. She’s done an amazing job, and we’ve seen some wonderful progress in a short time. Sarah has a lovely way with children, making sessions fun and engaging. We’re really happy with the progress he’s made and we feel so lucky to have had her help. Thank you, Sarah, for all you’ve done!”
